Week 2 Laurel Bahe
I didn't have embossing metal so I used tin foil rubbed over some plastic dinosaur sheets from my textures for painting bucket. I glued the foil to paper and then to a stretched canvas, 5"x7",then used acrylic paint and collaged papers. I tried to add stitching when the foil was just glued to paper but the thread just kept breaking, I guess the foil cut it, so I just have a little stitching.
It turned out kind of dark and creepy but I am having fun experimenting with the weekly theme.

I love this piece, color, content, and the way the paint and metal work together to make something that appears ancient.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the first comment. The color is luscious and the piece looks very aged.
