I've been experimenting lately with painting and drawing, and I'm wondering if, when, and how it might make sense to use some of this in my work with fiber and thread. I'm glad for the chance to noodle around with some little pieces that I might or might not wind up liking!
Here's my first--as you can see, an ear, of all things. (You probably can't detect the writing--it says "LISTEN," which needs to be larger, as well as a few other things.) I did some scribble-stitching here, but since I mostly used matching thread, this doesn't function much as drawing. Maybe it's the subject, maybe it's the earwax-yellow background, but I'm not exactly carried away with this one. On to the next experiment!
